International Expertise
Janet Poot has an excellent track record in giving management and leadership courses to senior management teams, company owners and government officials. She has coached throughout the Netherlands and Belgium, in Bulgaria, Slovakia, various cities in the UK and at Oxford University. Janet has worked as an executive coach and leadership consultant since 1997 and for many years combined this field of expertise with running an international marketing company.
Personal Background
Janet Poot has an international background with experience living in different continents. She is originally from South Africa and completed her studies in the Netherlands. She subsequently worked for American multinationals and pursued a marketing career whereby carrying out assignments in multiple markets across Europe.
Janet's fascination with the pace of change in the business world and the consequences for employees and employers alike took her to the United States where she studied a challenging new approach to leadership in preparation of her work as executive coach. She also studied best practice leadership in Europe and combines what she believes to be the individual strengths of the management styles most prevalent in the USA, Western and Central Europe.
Entrepreneur and Business Coach
Janet established a marketing and consulting company, Excelda International BV, in 1993. Field of business: designing and conducting Pan European Airport promotion campaigns for multinationals in media, telecommunications, consumer electronics and professional services. As an entrepreneur Janet understands the challenges that company leaders face and is accustomed to working with the boards of management and directors of large international corporations.

President of Rotary Club Amsterdam International.
Janet is a guest lecturer for international Executive Programmes at the Maastricht School of Management.
She has initiated and managed water and education projects in developing countries.
Board member (international relations) of Foundation Yente.
